Terms of Use
Short, and meant to be readable. Using the site means accepting these.
Use of this site
You may read, print and share anything here for your own use. You may not republish the text wholesale as your own.
No guarantee of accuracy
Everything here is written carefully and checked before publishing, and it can still be wrong or go out of date. Products change, firmware changes, and manufacturers revise their own guidance.
Verify anything that matters against the manufacturer's current documentation before acting on it. Where a page states a figure that could change, it says where the figure came from.
Electrical work is your responsibility
Doorbell wiring is low-voltage, which makes it forgiving, not harmless. The transformer feeding it is wired to household mains.
If you are not confident working near a live panel, hire a licensed electrician. Nothing on this site is worth an injury or a fire, and we cannot see or supervise your work.
Limitation of liability
This site is provided as is. We are not liable for damage, loss or injury resulting from anything you read here or from any product bought through it.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top of this page is the last revision.
